Wild Collingwood is the next generation of nature advocates
Who are we
We are students from a school in Northumberland, Collingwood School & Media Arts College, and we care a lot about our environment. That’s why we decided to create this online documentary project – Wild Collingwood. What we want is to learn more about what we can do to make our future more green and bring you along with us on this journey.
Our Mission
We want to spread awareness of all the conservation work that’s being done in our local area. We think that to be able to help, first you have to know what’s going on around you. And with the videos we make – we want to inspire people to get involved to help protect the environment.
whAT DO WE DO?
We are working closely with wildlife and conservation experts to expand our own understanding of what actions need to be taken to ensure a brighter future for our environment. Then we take what we’ve learned from these experts and make videos and write blogs to share our experiences. All while working on our own conservation projects and efforts in school!
Why It Matters
We know that action needs to happen now to save the future of the environment. Local wildlife everywhere is facing threats to their habitats, climate change and human destruction. Our first priority is to spread awareness and educate ourselves, small actions lead to big changes and this is where we start. We want to undo the damage done and work to get ourselves the future environment we know we can have.
